Notes for grown-ups
Reproduced from page 2 of the book so you can read it before printing.
Pencil control by staying inside paths that gradually become narrower.
How to use
- Start with the widest paths (easiest).
- Draw a line from the start dot to the finish, staying inside the grey borders.
- Move slowly and carefully.
- Progress to the narrower paths as control improves.
- Celebrate when the line stays inside the whole way.
Tips
- Use a pencil so children can erase and try again.
- Model slow, steady movement first.
- Hold the paper steady with the non-writing hand.
- These build the control needed for writing letters.
- Difficulty levels:
- Level 1: Very wide paths
- Level 2: Medium paths
