How to print

Three settings and you are done. Every book is A4 and prints in black-and-white or colour.

  1. Download the PDF

Click the green "Download free PDF" button on any book page. The file saves to your Downloads folder (or opens straight in your browser).

  2. Set the size to 100%

In the print window, choose Actual size or 100% rather than "Fit to page" or "Shrink to fit". This keeps dot-marker circles, sticker circles and lacing holes the right size for real equipment.

  3. Pick your pages

You don't have to print the whole book. Type a page range such as 3-8 to print just this week's sheets. Page 2 is the grown-ups' notes; you may want that one too.

Playdough, sorting and pom-pom matsCard, then laminate or use plastic sleevesWipes clean and lasts all year.
Lacing cardsThin card (160 to 250 gsm)Holds its shape when laced.
Finger painting and collageThick paper (120 gsm+) or thin cardPaint and glue won’t soak through.

Printing from a phone or tablet

Open the PDF, tap Share (iPhone and iPad) or the three dots (Android), choose Print, and look for a “Scale” or “Fit” option to switch off. If your printer isn’t listed, email the PDF to yourself and print it from a computer.

Black-and-white printing

Every book prints fine in greyscale. The green “start here” dot still shows as a clear dark dot. The only exception is Rainbow Tracing, where the colours are the point of the book.

Landscape books

Playdough Mats, Alphabet Line Classroom Display are landscape. Most printers rotate the page automatically. If yours doesn’t, choose “Landscape” in the print window.

Still stuck?

Try "Open in browser" on the book page and print from there. Most browsers handle PDFs without any extra software.
